DO YOU KNOW BRAINBRIDGE?
Where does this name come from, what does your logo mean?
What is its symbolic meaning?
While studying human anatomy, one of my many interests, I came across a rather peculiar name for a part of our nervous system, a protuberance in the brain stem that I had never heard of: Brain Bridge, or simply Bridge in Portuguese. What caught my attention was its location: it is at the base of our head, on the border with the trunk and limbs (in school we learn that the human body is divided into head, trunk and limbs).
Well, what does this have to do with consulting focused on human development?
One of our core teaching methodologies is the CAV (Experiential Learning Cycle - David Kolb), which focuses on experiential learning. I adopted the symbolic metaphor that, with each interaction, we live an experience with our body: through the peripheral nerves, the information reaches the spinal cord, passes through the Brain Bridge and reaches our brain. There, this information is recorded, felt and critically analyzed, and knowledge is aggregated. Useful insights are extracted and can be applied in the continuity of the experience that is being lived, passing again through the Bridge and reaching the body that acts, responds to the initial stimuli, and thus a new cycle begins.
It is important to remember that this is a metaphor, a poetic license, where anatomical issues are not fully respected, but they empower us to carry out training where experience, living, exchange between people and the environment are a relevant part of individual, group and social growth.
Brain Bridge, at first, consists of two words, but when written together, they become a bridge that connects, that brings together, that unites. And, with two capital B's, they gain sound, strength, and become a proper name, our brand, our identity.
Our logo has several circular arcs in different colors, which symbolize people (or groups, areas, stakeholders) in their diversity. They are intertwined, connected by the same purpose. However, these arcs do not touch, representing the subtle but powerful electrochemical connection of neurons, as well as the subtle and powerful connection between people, groups, areas.
In each action, workshop, training program, the concrete and the subjective are present, guiding our objectives, seeking to build learning collectively, through impactful experiences, enabling great results for our clients.
This is our DNA, we want to know yours!
